Hi, thanks for the Tutorial and the hints, but I still can't seem to get it to work no matter what I tried. Now if you want to load the SingStar Pop from above, you should use this command: Eject your disc if there's one inside the PS3ĥ. In the song selection, press SELECT to open the change disc dialogueĤ.

#Ps2 singstar update
I will update wMM this weekend, currently still have 1.43.36 installed but it should work on the latest version unless aldo removed or edited this feature again. Personally I am using the mount_ps2 command, not sure if mount.ps2 does the same now.
#Ps2 singstar how to
Having said that I have recently bought a PS3 at the more reasonable $600.Since was nice enough to include this feature in the official builds of webMAN MOD, here is simple guide how to use extracted SingStar PS2 backups on SingStar PS3 version using the mount_ps2 webMAN MOD command. This was the sole reason I did not go out and buy a PS3 at launch. They removed the "emotion" engine chip, which was the PS2 chip from the Euro/Asian version and added a software "emulator" for backwards compatibility instead.Īnd guess what? they still charged the same price for the hacked down Euro/Asian PS3. That's correct, that was a major point of contention between the American/Japanese PS3 vs the European/Asian PS3 It’s a good, fun, non-thinky game that gets lots of people involved. Also, you don’t need to be embarrassed to admit to playing Singstar. Might want to rent and find out first that way, due to the region locking of PS2 software.
I cant see you having any issues with buying an AU game and trying to get the disc swap to work – however having said that I don’t have a US machine. To access the US store, create a US profile on your PS3 (like you would to access the US PSN Store), when Singstar loads it will access the US store for you. US songs will work on your AU account and vice versa. A few months ago it was cheaper to get US songs, but now they are only slightly cheaper.
If it doesn’t work, I’ll have go and get Singstar Rocks as that had the best songs to date.ĪU prices are 2.45 per song. I doubt it will work, but I still want to try it. Next thing to do is to try loading up a burnt Singstar disc. I didn’t actually try a song as I didn’t have the microphones plugged in, but she works AOK. I only played Ballads on PS3 so my save file is only on the PS3 HDD, but no go with the scores loading. It doesn’t however use your PS2 save file installed on your PS3 to load your song scores, which is annoying. I tried it was an original of Singstar Rock Ballads and it works fine – it even integrates your downloaded songs into the track list Load up a PS3 Singstar, press SELECT on the song selection screen and then follow the prompts on the screen. The patch for this (2.30) came online on Tuesday.
